In the first chapter, Huck speaks about his new life with the widow Douglas. She took him in so he had a place to live. Huck meets Tom Sawyer in the middle of the night and they go to a cave, and become a gang. The second chapter is, that Tom and Huck play a trick on a slave while he was sleeping, and the slave tells his story about witches taking over his body. Chapter 3, The gang go to a Sunday school, and pretend they are fighting Spaniards, and a-Rab's, but Huck knows they are pretending so he drops out of the gang. In the 5th chapter Huck spills salt but Miss Watson stops him before he can throw it over his shoulder. Huck is VERY superstitious. He See's his dad's tracks in the snow so he gives Judge Thatcher his money.
